Dr. Schmitt is available for after hours EMERGENCIES at 852.2238. Established clients with established pets can reach him 24 /7. Many emergency cases require intensive care and monitoring and will be referred to the Animal Emergency Clinic.

*Advancements in veterinary medicine and client demand for specialized care have created numerous board certified veterinary specialties: Surgery, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology (visiting) and dentistry. Additional specialists are available in Sacramento and at the University of California in Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.

Diagnostics:

• We offer a full line of in-house, state of the art blood screening
• X-ray machine and processor
• For more extensive testing we utilize a reference laboratory with board certified pathologists and others

Pharmacy:

• A full line of veterinary pharmaceutical products. Most lesser-used medications with short shelf lives can be ordered for next day delivery.

Surgery:

• A surgical suite and equipment for most veterinary surgical procedures
• Advanced monitoring of vital signs during anesthesia in surgery

Preventative Medicine:

• Annual exams with blood screening tests

Senior Care:

• At least annual exams with blood work and urinalysis to detect underlying and often quiescent diseases. Many pets tend to “hide” their disease until they are severely ill.
